I just thought I would write about this because, I was attending a seminar on SEO given by a company called HomeJames which wasn’t very good, and there seemed to be an inadequate answer regarding subdomains and pagerank.  But we’ll discuss pagerank.  By having many outbounds on your website, you are not leaking pagerank, in fact I believe what you’re actually doing is diminishing the power of the vote you are passing on to the websites you are linking to.  What about linking to internal pages of your own website?  Well, in my opinion the higher the pagerank the further Google is prepared to go deeper and further to index your pages in your website.  That’s why its important not to waste such pagerank on about us and privacy policy pages that add very little value to your business.  Hope that helps diffuse the myth of leaking pagerank.
